iFilm English TV to start airing popular series ‘Setayesh’

Popular Iranian series ‘Setayesh’ has been scheduled to go on iFilm English TV Channel’s playlist.

Airing of the series, produced by Arman Zarrinkoub and directed by Saeed Soltani, will start on November 25, 2023.

In the series, Taher has just finished two years of military service, defending Iran against Saddam Hussein’s war of aggression.

His friend, who’s deserted the frontline, wants Taher to help smuggle him out of the country. Despite his better judgment, and at the insistence of his friend’s sister, Setayesh, he agrees.

Taher and Setayesh eventually grow fond of each other and make plans to marry. But a tragedy causes a great gap between their families that threatens to keep the two from ever finding happiness together.

The most notable on the cast list are Daryoush Arjmand, Gohar Kheirandish, Mahmoud Azizi, Narges Mohammadi, Fariba Naderi, Zahra Saeedi, Mehdi Pakdel, Mehdi Solouki, and Jamshid Mashayekhi.

The long list goes on with Hadis Miramini, Sima Tirandaz, Shiva Khonyagar, Azita Lachini, Mohammad Omrani, Maryam Boubani, Farahnaz Manafi-Zaher, and Mohammad-Reza Iranmanesh.

The first season of ‘Setayesh’, produced in 2010, will be aired every day at 20:00 GMT to be a replacement for ‘In My Heart’.

iFilm English TV will also repeat each episode of the series the next day at 01:00, 07:00 and 12:00. ‘Setayesh’ is comprised of 44 segments.
